Dunstable Road, in the Sheen Road conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames, is a cul-de-sac with housing comprising mostly late-Victorian two-storey semi-detached houses with adjoining flanking entrances of quite uniform appearance to the east side of the road. All are listed locally as Buildings of Townscape Merit. The west side is formed of the boundary walls, garages, and rear gates of the houses in Sydney Road. This view shows the only detached-form house at the Sheen Road end of the road, which although is of similar style to the other houses, has a front-facing entrance. To the right of view, part of the yard gate and the two and three-storey buildings that comprised Mill House at number 26, and Dunstable Lodge at number 28, are also shown. Listed locally, these Victorian era industrial workshops have in recent years been used as a design studio, as offices and, more recently, converted to residential use.
