Houses in Queen's Road
Description
General view of a terrace of two-storey, one-window range, early to mid nineteenth-century houses at 38-52 Queen's Road, Mortlake, Richmond upon Thames. To the left of the image, number 52 has stone facing to the ground floor. Above the door of number 46 is a rectangular plate indicating the location of the water main in the street. Next to number 42 is an arched opening leading to access to number 40, which is the only house with a two-window range. To the extreme right of the image, the front elevation of number 38 is leaning slightly at first-floor level. Leaves have accumulated along the street kerb line. The terrace is still standing and lies within the Queen's Road Mortlake Conservation Area.
