General view of 19-25 The Quadrant, Richmond upon Thames. In the centre, at numbers 19-21, is an early twentieth-century, three-storey building with signs showing it trading as "MAPLES" furniture and carpets store. It has a two-three-two window range on the upper levels with large plate-glass windows at ground-floor level fronting showrooms within. Furniture on display includes tables and carpets. A sign in the window says, "MUCH MORE TO SEE IN OUR UPSTAIRS SHOWROOMS". Spotlights are suspended from the ground-floor ceiling. There are rectangular concrete pillars on the pedestrian footway, supporting the upper-floor frontage. As of 2023, this building is a bank. To the left of the image in Quadrant Road is a workman's hut, a wheelbarrow, trolley, road cones, warning light and bags of sand or cement. There is graffiti on the wall, and a fire-hydrant locator plate. At top left, Richmond Presbyterian Church is partly visible. On the right is a partial view of the front elevation of 23 The Quadrant, a late nineteenth to early twentieth-century building designed to resemble a church or chapel in Gothic style and trading as "BONSOR AND PENNINGTONS" estate agents. This building today is still an estate agents trading as, "CHANCELLORS", who were the original owners of the building when first erected. In the ground-floor window is a display of photos of houses for sale with a sign above saying, "LEEDS PERMANENT BUILDING SOCIETY". At 25 The Quadrant is a partial view of "SCHOLL" shoe retailer. There is a pedestrian on the footway. Street furniture includes a long section of pedestrian guardrail and a no-entry sign. The buildings lie within the Central Richmond Conservation Area.
