Clarence Cottages in Park Road
This view favours 57-59 Park Road, also known as Clarence Cottages, built by George Constable in 1850. Located in the Hampton Wick conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames, Park Road has a number of mid-nineteenth century two-storey cottages in the centre of this historic village, many of which like Clarence Cottages are listed locally as Buildings of Townscape Merit. To the left of view, the detached 1890s house at number 55, also known as Ravensholme, is somewhat out of character presenting a gable-ended facade with ornate barge boards and having greater stature than its neighbouring cottages. A Triumph 1500 saloon is also shown parked in the street.
