Ravensholme in Park Road
55 Park Road, also known as Ravensholme, is believed to have been built in the garden of Ivy Cottage, adjacent to left of view, in 1891. Located in the Hampton Wick conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames, Park Road has several mid-nineteenth-century two-storey cottages in the centre of this historic village. Ravensholme is somewhat out of character presenting a gable-ended facade with ornate barge boards and having greater stature than its neighbouring cottages. This three-quarter view shows a dormer window to the attic between its two chimney stacks, which are thought to be a later addition. Part of 57-59 Clarence Cottages can be seen to the right of view, built by George Constable in 1850. A Ford Cortina estate car with a fitted roof rack is shown parked in the road.
