Villas in Park Road
This view shows a number of mostly two-storey Victorian houses along the east side of Park Road between Adelaide Road and Clarence Road in the Park Road Teddington conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames. Mostly dating from the 1860s, all are believed to be listed locally as Buildings of Townscape Merit. The terrace of cottages to the right of view at numbers 65-69 are also known as Ebury Villas. Beyond is Norton Villa, then Rose Villa, Thurston Lodge, and The Adelaide public house at number 57. The view depicts Park Road as a leafy wide avenue, approaching the town centre from Bushy Park. A Morris Traveller is also shown parked in the street, beyond which a London Hackney Carriage is driving past.
