Doorway in Parkshot
This view shows the front entrance of 6 Parkshot, part of the terrace of early-eighteenth-century houses in the Central Richmond conservation area of the Borough at numbers 4, 5 and 6 Parkshot, which were Grade II listed in 1968, listing number 135775. Out of view to the left of the entrance to number 5 was a large entrance serving the Salem Baptist Church, which occupied the site to the rear of these buildings until it moved to Windsor Road, Kew, in 1973. The chapel, warehouse, stable buildings, and rear extensions were demolished during the late 1970s and the front elevations restored to something more like their original appearance. This view shows the detail of number 6's rusticated door case and part of its matching neighbour.
