Title
Villas in Chislehurst Road
Description
Chislehurst Road is in a high quality residential area developed on Richmond Hill after the arrival of the railway serving Richmond in 1856, which now lies within the St Matthias conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames. Its buildings comprise a number of mainly semi-detached mid to late Victorian villas of similar style and grandeur, retaining much of their original appearance and all being listed as Buildings of Townscape Merit. This view shows the pair of villas at numbers 3 and 5. Number 3 has since had some minor remodelling to its driveway, boundary wall, and side elevation. The climbers and shrubs have also been removed from the facade of number 5.
