This view shows the eighteenth-century gazebo at the far end of the grounds at Trumpeters' House in Old Palace Yard, Richmond, overlooking the Thames at Cholmondeley Walk, where this photograph was taken. Trumpeters' House is an important Grade I listed house (listing number 1357749), which was built on the estate of the former Richmond Palace. The Gazebo was Grade II listed in 1968, listing number 1065352. Since this photograph was taken, the arched windows facing the river have been reinstated. The brick wall extends along Cholmondeley Walk to neighbouring Asgill House. All are located in the Richmond Riverside conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames.
