Description
View of the upper corner of the gardens adjoining Bridge Street, Richmond. Shops on the north side of the street, since demolished and the site redeveloped, are partly visible through the trees. To the right is the side of the eighteenth-century public house building described in its Historic England listing as Christies at 1 Hill Rise, Grade II listed in 1983; listing number 1065431, once the King's Head and currently Bill's. Out of view is a memorial to the Chilean freedom fighter Bernardo O'Higgins.
