View of N. Courlander jeweller's shop at number 2-8 Brewers Lane, Richmond, looking towards George Street. Courlander occupies a corner site incorporating 55-56 George Street and 2-8 Brewers Lane. Number 8 Brewers Lane was Grade II listed in 1983; listing number 1080864, as were numbers 2, 4 and 6; listing number 1080863. A period-style lantern is suspended above the shop. Brewers Lane is a paved passageway that links the Richmond Green conservation area to George Street, in the Central Richmond conservation area. It has a number of listed buildings from the eighteenth century, including The Britannia public house. In the background across George Street with the modern shop front can be seen Greyhound House, formerly The Greyhound Hotel, Grade II listed in 1950; listing number 1080824. Some pedestrians can be seen walking towards the view point.
