Description
Beverley Close, off Laurel Road, is in the Barnes Green conservation area of Richmond upon Thames. The properties to the left back on to Barnes Green, number 7 being clearly visible. The cul-de-sac is an inter-war development of mixed style, as illustrated by number 11 at the end of the road. The composer and teacher Herbert Howells lived at number 3, out of picture, between 1946-83, commemorated by an English Heritage Blue Plaque in 2011.
