Description
View south-west towards Richmond Bridge from outside Christies bar (now Bill's) showing 10-12 Bridge Street, Richmond. Known as Tower House, it was built in mid-nineteenth century by H Laxton, and Grade II listed in 1968; listing number 1358055. It is currently a Pitcher & Piano. The shops at 5-9 include Cafe Royal, Hall Harding Ltd, Merlin Cleaners, and Andrews & Dalton Ltd, all since demolished and replaced by the Heron Square complex in the late 1980s. Located in the Richmond Riverside conservation area. Also visible are some gas-style street lamps and a few raincoated pedestrians.
