View of front elevation of a substantial Victorian house used as business premises of Colt Ventilation Ltd, 15 Langley Road, Surbiton, with employees arriving on bicycles and cars parked in front. Founded in 1931 by Jack O’Hea in London, Colt Ventilation Ltd has specialised in manufacturing, installation and maintenance of ventilation systems (including ventilation through black-out curtains during World War II), air filters, smoke control, and solar shading. Now based in Hampshire, it is still a successful business with subsidiaries around the world. Their Langley Road premises have since been converted into luxury flats. The neighbouring numbers 9-13, just visible behind the trees on the left, have been demolished; their site is now occupied by St Matthew's CoE Primary School.
