Erskine House in Homesfield
Description
Front elevation, partly obscured by trees, of Erskine House, Homesfield, Erskine Hill, Hampstead Garden Suburb. Grade II listed; list entry number 1064760. At the end of a cul-de-sac, they were built in 1911-12 by B. Parker and R. Unwin as 'Children's Cottage Homes'. Round arched loggias can be seen with balconies above and a central front entrance. The two cottage homes were originally called Ursula Cottage and Henrietta Cottage, and were donated by George Cadbury and Canon Barnet. An Austin 1800 and a Renault (?) are parked and there is a modern street light. In the early twentieth century they were converted to flats .
