Front elevations of 48-60 High Street, High Barnet. These include Annika, an interior design shop, and The Terminus Snack Bar (this was the northernmost extent of the LT tram and trolleybus system and also their successor bus routes and was used by the conductors and drivers in their breaks). Other businesses include Cliffords estate agents and C.A. Scurr, opthalmic optician. Of most interest is the pub, The Mitre or 'Ye Olde Mitre Inn', with its Ind Coope branding. It is Grade II listed (list entry number 1287050), and is believed to be the remnant of a much larger seventeenth-century coaching inn with a timber-framed core. On the right hand side is a narrow entrance to its car park.
