Description
Front and side elevations of a substantial detached house, Heath House in Turner Drive, Hampstead Garden Suburb. The house has two storeys plus dormered attic and is symmetrical about the front door. A tall chimney stack rises over the side elevation. It is viewed obliquely across the drive through a garden planted with trees and shrubs. Dating from about 1915 and designed by John Carrick Stuart Soutar and Herbert Welch, Heath House was Grade II listed in 1973; listing number 1064798. Soutar (1881-1951) succeeded Raymond Unwin as consultant architect to the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust in 1915. The street was named after the artist Joseph Mallord William Turner.
