Description
A view of the front elevations of a terrace of two-storey buildings with retail premises on the ground floor and accommodation above at 1138-1168 (even) High Road, Whetstone. At the end of the terrace and partly occupying an extension is the Three Horseshoes pub at number 1166 and 1168. Its side elevation is also visible, being four windows wide and having two entrance doors, a bay window and two other windows on the ground floor. It is three windows wide in the front elevation and many of its windows have external shutters. Whitbread signs are prominent. Otherwise each property is two windows wide with a door at the pavement edge leading to the accommodation above. The facades are stucco-covered. Businesses include Action Plus, Bridgewater and Denis fish and chips. Cars parked include, from the left, a Riley 1.5 saloon with registration number EMK215B, a BMC Mini and a Fiat 124. The properties from number 1150 to 1166 (even) still exist. The other properties, to the right of the picture, no longer exist and an office building occupies the site.
