House in Gurney Drive
Description
View of the front elevation of a detached house at 19 Gurney Drive, Hampstead Garden Suburb. The double-fronted house has two storeys and is three windows wide. This part of Gurney Drive was designed by Philip Dalton Hepworth in 1931 in Neo-Georgian style. Gurney Drive was named after Sybella Gurney (1870-1926), who was a leader of the Housing Reform Movement and worked with Henrietta Barnett in the planning of Hampstead Garden Suburb. Dating from the 1920s or 1930s, the house still exists.
