Description
View of the rear of shops at 41 to 44 Windsor Street, Uxbridge, looking east. The shops to the right have flats above where washing has been hung out on a line at the first-floor terrace. The Grade II listed, listing number 1358421 (41 and 42) 1080143 (43 to 45) buildings, are seen with rough rear walls, with a recent extension and private service area behind 43 and 44, bounded by a temporary paling fence, seen with a Vanden Plas Princess parked inside. Vehicles parked in Hillingdon's Windsor Street Service Area include an Austin 1100, Ford Escort Mk I and Cortina Mk II models. The rear of the shops have since been extensively redeveloped and further extended, the rear walls demolished and replaced with repositioned fencing, and the service area transferred to public use as Grainge's Yard car park.
