View of the south elevation of Highfield House in Uxbridge Road, Uxbridge, looking east across a parking area. The east side of the three-storey building is seen in vacant possession with boarded-up windows, with the west side and its apsidal projection to the left, occupied, seen with net curtains at the windows. The house frontage is covered with ivy tendrils. The extension, to the right, has a brick and formerly glazed porch (seen in a dilapidated state), and is also boarded up, and covered with ivy. The narrow raised terrace in front of the ground floor, has steps centrally and to the far right, and is seen with dustbins lined up on in front of the left hand bay, along with barrel and Butler sink planters. Highfield House, latterly named Magnolia House, is Grade II listed, listing number 1080134, amended 1993 and renamed as 'Magnolia House, the Laurels, the Chestnuts and Beech Cottage', listed separately from the adjacent houses.
