86-80 High Street, Harrow on the Hill, front elevations. Grade II listed. House with three shops in front. Early eighteenth-century; shops added 1895, designed by Arnold Mitchell. The house, now sub-divided and altered in parts, is early eighteenth-century. 86 The Corner House Café, Number 84 G. Ward & Co. Tailors & Outfitters with straw boaters and shirts in window display. Shop retains complete fittings from its original use as a tailors, with extensive shelving for bolts of material along the walls, a doorcase, counters with scrolled consoles, and an elaborate wooden ceiling with diamond panels within moulded, dentillated compartments; the central light sports decorative leadwork and a ventilation grille.
