Description
New building in the grounds of Byron House, 29 Byron Hill Road, Harrow on the Hill, viewed from the south. The copper-roofed timber verandah can be seen. Byron House is a three-storey, five-bay house built in the late eighteenth century, with the main facade facing away from the road. The interior was remodelled in the early twentieth century, and the main entrance moved to the south-east side. Byron House was the home of Matthew Arnold in 1868-73. It is Grade II listed; list entry number 1079735.
