The Grove in Church Hill
Description
The Grove, Church Hill, Harrow on the Hill, seen from the south. A mid-eighteenth century stuccoed two-and-a-half storey building with early nineteenth-century additions on the north and east side in plain dark brick. The house stands on the ancient rectory site at the summit of the hill. It was burnt down in 1833 and rebuilt, the symmetrical Georgian front of seven bays being preserved. The building is shown here covered in scaffolding. The Grove is Grade II listed, list entry number 1192932. Vans parked nearby.
