Description
A view of The Laurels, 197 Balaam Street, Plaistow, a detached three-storey double-fronted Victorian house dating from c1890. This locally listed building was once used as a local freemasons club/Masonic Hall. A sign above a side extension door reads 'East of London Housing Association Ltd 01 472 Office 951'. The building visible through a gap between the Laurels and the neighbouring house is Victoria Point, a 1960s high-rise block of flats. A number of people wait at the bus stop outside.
