Description
A winter image, with bare trees, of Victoria Embankment, Westminster, looking towards the Grade I listed Houses of Parliament, the Elizabeth Tower and Big Ben (listing number 1226284). The former New Scotland Yard, now called Norman Shaw South building, is to the left. Grade II* listed, listing number 1357349, it was built in 1887-90 by Richard Norman Shaw and John Dixon Butler in red brick and Portland stone banding with distinctive corner tourelles. Beyond this stand St Stephen's House and St Stephen's Parade, now demolished to make way for Portcullis House. A Morris 1000 van speeds by.
