Description
View taken from Dering Street, Mayfair, looking west towards terraced buildings with ground-floor shops at 95-97 New Bond Street, Mayfair. Number 97 has four storeys plus dormers with a three-window range. The ground floor is trading as, "The Royal Bank Of Scotland". There is a central glass door with rectangular window above and a side door entrance. People can be seen in the first-floor offices where a telephone is visible. Number 96 is a four-storey building with a three-window range plus a window in the gable, which is built in Flemish style. Number 95 has three storeys with a three-window range plus dormer flanked by a stone balustrade. Three fan-shaped balconettes can be seen together with a pair of Ionic columns, sculpted heads and a decorative frieze. Two extractor fans can be seen in the first-floor windows above a stone balustrade. The ground floors of both buildings are trading as, "Kurt Geiger" shoe retailer, where displays of shoes can be seen in the plate-glass windows. The business name can be seen displayed above the shop windows and on a pair of sun awnings and hanging signs. To the extreme right can be seen number 94 New Bond Street at the junction with Blenheim Street. The ground-floor shop is trading as, "Ronnie Stirling" fashion retailer. There is a "One-Way" traffic sign in view together with some pedestrians and a van parked on the pavement with a ladder on its roof. A set of "Give-Way" markings is in the foreground at the junction with Dering Street.
