View looking south, showing a partial view of a pair of terraced buildings with ground-floor businesses at 1-2 New Row, Covent Garden. Both buildings have late seventeenth-century origins with early nineteenth-century refronting. Number 2 is trading as a licensed betting office with only part of the business name, "J. KEEFE" visible. A sign says the turf accountant business was established in 1925. A sign in the shop window says the business is a member of the "B.P.A." There is a reflection in the window, showing a sign for "Scott's Soup & Sandwich Bar" at 26 New Row. The building is Grade II listed; listing number 1266686. Today it is a cafe. Number 1 has no door visible but there is a small four-paned window and a wire-covered vent. There is a reflection in the window, showing a sign for the "Zoo Theatre" at 28 New Row. The remains of several posters can be seen on the wall. The words, "Time" and "Kingsway" can be seen. The building is Grade II listed; listing number 1224729. It is now part of the neighbouring, "Mr. Fogg's Tavern" at 58 St. Martin's Lane.
