Description
View looking south, showing terraced buildings with ground-floor shops at 6-7 New Row, Covent Garden. There is a partial view of number 7, which is trading as, "Jones Bros Coliseum Dairy". It has late seventeenth-century origins with mid to late nineteenth-century alterations to the shop front. The shop is closed with empty display shelves in the window. A cash register and weighing scales can be seen. There is a sign for "Horlicks" in the entrance door. A mosaic pattern can be seen below the shop window. The building is Grade II listed; listing number 1266621. Today, the ground-floor is a restaurant. Number 6 is trading as, "Star of Asia Restaurant". It has late seventeenth-century origins with mid to late nineteenth-century alterations to the front elevation. The business is closed. There are two large menu signs in the window, which has venetian blinds and imitation greenery visible. There is an extractor fan vent above the doorway. The recessed entrance door has a "luncheon voucher" sticker displayed. Behind the restaurant name is a striped frieze. The building is Grade II listed; listing number 1266688.
