View looking north, showing a corner block of terraced buildings with ground-floor shops at 17-20 New Bond Street, Mayfair, at the junction with Clifford Street. Number 17-18, originally known as Finnigan House and later renamed Clarendon House, is a seven-storey corner building trading as, "Finnigans", a luxury luggage and leatherwear retailer. Leather handbags can be seen in the ground-floor display window. There are canvas sun awnings above the ground-floor windows and flagpoles can be seen. There is a sign saying, "Celebrite" and others saying, "London and Ryder and at Manchester". Finnigan's opened its first store on the site in 1879 with a new frontage built in the 1930s. They ceased trading there in 1968. Number 19-20 New Bond Street is a four-storey building with a sign saying, "For Disposal". Both buildings remain today. There is a single-storey shop attached. At 11 Clifford Street is the Celebrite Restaurant and Bar. A portable, "No Waiting" sign can be seen on the pavement.
