Description
View of the ground-floor morning room at 38 South Street, Mayfair. The room contains an office desk and chairs, four telephones, three picture frames and papers and pens. A large leather chair by the fireplace, three-seat sofa and two chairs, a mirror with scroll surround and a television. The chimneypiece is of stone or marble with carved figures either side and a decorative mantel. 38 South Street, also known as Aberconway House, was built 1920-22 for the industrialist, Henry McLaren, later Baron Aberconway, and is Grade II listed, entry 1236368.
