Description
View of the front elevations of terraced buildings at 48-53 Mount Street, Mayfair. All have four storeys plus basement and attic storey. Railings surround the basement areas. Numbers 45-52 Mount Street form a city block of houses in brick with stone banding. Number 50 is scaffolded with tarpaulins dangling from the scaffold. An estate agent's sign on number 51 says the building has been acquired for clients. A Ford Escort Estate car is one of several parked in the street. The row is seen from across the junction with Rex Place. Dating from 1891-93 and designed by John E. Trollope, 45-52 Mount Street was Grade II listed in 1987; listing number 1223618.
