Description
First-floor front room chimneypiece at 8 Suffolk Street, Westminster. A Grade II* listed building, listing number 1237162, built in 1822-23 by John Nash. The surround to the chimneypiece has ornate decoration to it and what appears to be a cast-iron surround. The fire is a small gas appliance, with the supply pipe visible to the right. The back of the chimneypiece appears to be tiled. To the right there is a tall bookcase with the shelves full of books. This building is now the Embassy of The Philippines.
