View of 15-17 Stratton Street, Westminster, looking from the corner of Bowater House. Number 15 is a Grade II listed building, listing number 1237140. It was built 1895-1900 as a five-storey townhouse and is faced in Portland Ashlar Stone. This is the offices of Fyffes who were a major banana importer. Number 16, to the right, is another five-storey brick-built terrace house with a basement and attic rooms. There is a sign with the house number 16 fixed to the wall to the right of the door. There is a circular window above the door and at the roof level, there is a semi-circular gable with a large window. There is a wrought-iron fence in front of the basement. Number 17 is at right angles to the other two buildings. A five-storey brick-built house with a basement. The door is in the left corner of the building. To the right of the door the building is split into protruding bays extending the full height of the building. Al the windows have small wrought-iron fences to them. There is a gated entrance to the right side of the building giving access to the basement. There are two motor cars parked in the corner, the nearest is a Mercedes and the other Ford Capri with an ornate lamp column to the left. All these buildings still exist although the ground-floor windows to number 15 have been replaced to replicate the rest of the windows and this is now offices. Number 16 is still a residential building with number 17 being a five-star hotel called The May Fair.
