Description
View of 33-34 Surrey Street, Westminster. A pair of Grade II listed terrace houses dating from 1767, listing number 1237425. They were built to replace a mansion destroyed by fire in 1765 which dated back to 1692-1694. The front door to 33 is furthest from the camera and has a shallow flat-topped porch. There are two signs fixed to the front wall to the right of the entrance. The door to 34 has a semi-circular top with a sign fixed to the side wall facing the camera. The windows to 33 are double sash windows where as the windows to 34 are sash windows with six panes to each sash. There are what are possibly electric cables running along the front of the building at the top of the shallow brick cornice above the doors. Part of the gable upstand between the two houses is visible. There is a wrought-iron fence protecting the basement void along the front of both buildings. Both buildings are now part of Kings College London.
