View of 5 Strand Lane, Westminster, looking north, showing the entrance to a Roman Bath which is a Grade II listed, listing number 1237102. The Roman Bath is actually an early seventeenth-century cistern that was part of the grounds of Somerset House. In front of the camera, spanning Strand Lane, is a two-storey building connecting the buildings on the left and right of Strand Lane. This is known as St Clements Watch House which is Grade II listed, listing number 126425. This is a surviving example of a Parish Watch House dating from the early-eighteenth century. The first floor has an ornate metal balustrade in front of the large double windows these are possible double glass doors opening onto the balcony. The Roman Baths are now managed by The National Trust. The entrance to Strand Lane behind the camera is gated and the buildings either side of Strand Lane are part Kings College London.
