Description
Side elevation of Devonshire House at 78 Piccadilly, Westminster, taken from an elevated position. Berkeley Street is visible to the side of the house, with other buildings in the foreground, and Green Park is visible across the road. The building is Grade II* listed, listing number 1226746 and was built in 1926 on the site of the original Devonshire House, which was home to the Duke of Devonshire in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The building was the UK headquarters of the car manufacturer Citroen until 1936, with car showrooms on the lower three-floors, and later was the headquarters of The Rootes Group until the 1960s.
