Description
A view of the front elevations of terraced houses at 46-47 Hay's Mews, Mayfair. Numbers 46 and 47 face the camera. Number 46 on the left is a commercial building with loading bay door in the first floor. Number 47 has a vehicle bay on the ground floor and two floors of residential accommodation above. Both are brick faced. To the right is number 4 Hay's Mews with an unusual barrel dormer containing a round window. Parked at a parking meter beside number 4 is a saloon car with registration number SOY228F. A Ford Transit van is parked outside number 47 with its rear doors open. Outside number 46 is an MGB GT sports car. On the left of the image a Triumph Herald saloon can be seen. Built as a garage about 1906 to serve 11 Hill Street, 4 Hay's Mews was Grade II listed in 1990; listing number 1248403. All the buildings still exist except 47 Hay's Mews which no longer exists. A house stands on the site.
