Description
View northwards of front elevations of 6-16 Grosvenor Crescent, Mayfair. These are two adjoining sets of terraces of different styles and heights. 6 to 10 are lower and stucco-fronted. The facade of 11 to 16, built in 1860, are Portland stone, and have French Renaissance features. All have four main storeys, basements, mansards, slab chimneys, balconies with flagpoles and are three windows wide. Flags of the United Kingdom and the Red Cross are flying at 7-9, at that time the national headquarters of the British Red Cross. Outside, saloon cars are parked on both sides of the road, and a black taxi is passing a Citroen. Numbers 11 to 16 are Grade II listed, listing number 1357058.
