Description
View southwards of front elevations of 61-63 Grosvenor Street, Mayfair. These are four-storeyed three window wide terraced properties, plus basements and attics. Built as houses in the 1720s they are now in business occupation. The number of brass plates and letter boxes at 62 and 63 indicate multiple occupation. Amongst the occupants in 1975 were Connell's estate agents at 62 and Leigh property developers at 61, identified as Leigh House. The properties have channelled stucco at ground floor and are brick-faced above. They have round-arched doorcases, elaborate area railings and first-floor balustraded balconies, canted bays at first and second floors, gables with tripartite windows and a steeply-pitched dormered mansard.
