Description
Front elevations of 13 Grosvenor Place, Westminster. Part of a terrace of grand houses (numbers 6-14) which date from c1868 and built by British architect Thomas Cundy III (1821-1895). Built of Portland stone in the French Renaissance style, they feature projecting Corinthian porches with granite columns and continuous first-floor cast-iron balconies. The houses are Grade II listed (1970), listing number 1214250. This building was the headquarters of The Royal Society for the Promotion of Health (shortened to The Royal Society of Health) on the window above the front door.
