Description
A view of the rear elevations of terraced houses at 9 and 10 Chesterfield Street, Mayfair. The houses have three to five storeys. Dating from the mid-eighteenth century, numbers 8 and 9 Chesterfield Street were Grade II listed in 1970; listing number 1291570. Dating from about 1800, number 10 Chesterfield Street was Grade II listed in 1958; listing number 1066269. Number 10 Chesterfield Street was used between 1944 and 1953 by the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) for work on Soviet targets by up to 60 people.
