Buildings in Brompton Road
A view of the front elevations of terraced shop buildings at 116-124 (even) Brompton Road, Knightsbridge. The store at number 118-122 Brompton Road is The Forces Help Society and Lord Roberts Workshop, which merged in 1997 with SSAFA, the armed forces charity. It has the royal warrant on its facade. At number 124 on the left is an employment agency and at number 116 is Robert Fielding of Regent Street. The buildings have several storeys of other accommodation above the ground floor shops. An inscription in the pediment of number 122 says: Incorporated Soldiers & Sailors Help Society. This building still exists but the others no longer exist and later retail developments occupy the space.
