The skyscraper in the background is the 29-storey Portland House, built between 1959 and 1963. The road in front of the palace is crowded with visitors, cars, black cabs and vans. Buckingham Palace, the official royal residence and administrative headquarters and one of the most recognisable landmarks, is a Grade I listed building, listing number 1239087. The Victoria Memorial is Grade I listed, listing number 1273864.
