Houses in Milford Street
View looking north along Milford Street, Clapham, lined with two- and three-storey terraced houses on either side, most in a dilapidated state. The vacant plot (formerly numbers 9 to 15) on the left, seen fenced off with corrugated iron, is a result of bombing during WWII. Vehicles parked on the street include a Triumph Bonneville 750 motorcycle, a foreign-registered Fiat 128, a Volvo Amazon, a Hillman Minx Series V and a Simca 1000GL. The street has since been demolished and replaced with a low-rise housing development, probably during the late 1980s, with its access roads named after Olympic athletes, Daley Thompson, Tessa Sanderson, Bev Callendar (Goddard), Phil Brown and Keith Connor.
