Description
View of the front elevations of William Eicke built houses at 138-140 New Park Road, Clapham Park, at the junction with Thornton Road, looking north. The houses are Grade II listed, listing number 1065013. The plot was believed to have been sold by the developer Thomas Cubitt to London gentleman, Eicke in 1835 whereupon the houses were built in the modified Gothic style together with the 'Clapham Park Grotto', a fernery built of Pulhamite with a presumably glass roof, at the rear of Gothic Lodge at number 138.
