Shop in Nightingale Lane
View of RACS laundry at 95 Nightingale Lane, Balham, looking south at the corner with Western Lane. The entrance door is framed by the canted-angle of pale pink terracotta brickwork above and flanked by Corinthian columns on high plinths. Built in the mid to late nineteenth century, the terrace is Grade II listed, listing number 1065509. Vehicles on the street include a Ford Consul Corsair (both 4-door and 2-door models) with a Ford Anglia 105E and a Volkswagen Transporter parked at the rear. John Terry estate agents can be seen on the left-hand side and the mid-nineteenth century Young's Brewery's The Nightingale public house on the right of the view. The shop is now Roundhouse Kitchen design showroom.
