Balderton Buildings in Brown Hart Gardens
A view of the front elevation of Balderton Buildings in Brown Hart Gardens, Mayfair. The residential block of 47 flats erected in 1887 has five storeys plus basement. It still exists. A cradle of the kind used by window cleaners is hanging on ropes from the elevation. Cars parked in the street include a Ford Cortina Mark II, a Citroen 2CV and a Ford Granada with registration number KUD688N. The tower on the skyline towards the right is that of the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of London, formerly a Congregational Church. At the right of the image is Brown Hart Gardens covering a partly underground electricity sub-station.
