Description
A view of a ground-floor rear room at a terraced house at 29 Bruton Street, Mayfair. The decoration in the chimneypiece surround includes ears of corn and garlands of leaves as well as acanthus leaves in the corbels. In the grate, ash seems to be mixed with unburned material. The room divider includes a fluted column. It is uncarpeted. Dating from the mid-eighteenth century, number 29 Bruton Street was Grade II listed in 1987; listing number 1220102.
