The Glebe House, St Paul's Vicarage and the church of St Paul's Clapham in Rectory Grove
Description
A view of the front of the early nineteenth-century two-storey Grade II listed in 1979, listing number 1064971) number 6 Rectory Grove. Later named The Glebe House the building is thought to have been a watchhouse. In front of the house can be seen a hedge and ivy can be seen climbling across the ground floor front of the house. Next to the house can be seen a set of iron gates (one of which is open) set between two tall gate posts (by a small set of iron railings) which leads to the churchyard of the anglican parish church of St Paul's, Clapham. Sitting by the gates can be seen a cat. Beyond the gates and behind number 6 can be seen the early twentieth-century two-storey vicarage for St Paul's church shrouded by a long hedge. Attached to the chimney stack of the vicarage can be seen a TV aerial. Behind the vicarage on the far right of the photograph is the Grade II* listed (Historic England listing of 1955, listing number 1121980) church of St Paul's Clapham which was originally designed by Christopher Edwards in 1815.
